Personal Experience

Ruby on Rails

In my free time I decided to take a deeper look at Ruby on Rails. At the time I had little back-end development experience so a lot of what I picked up was new and difficult to comprehend.

What I took away though was a good understanding of how the MVC architecture works as well as some more hands-on experience with linux. Getting Ruby on Rails installed and up and running on a linux machine was a huge breaking point as I had to dabble with the terminal and installing dependency packages which was all new territory to me.

Unreal Engine 4

I finally took the dive into Unreal Engine 4 and began working on my own Zombie survival game. The experience has been challenging to say the least. However, there really hasn't been anything I've been so intrigued and excited with.

It's been a great way to let my imagination run free; then bring it back down to earth as I'm forced to think critically of how to take these ideas I have in my mind and turn them into functional code.

Adobe Photoshop

I've been using Photoshop on and off since I entered the technology industry.

The majority of my time with Photoshop has come in the form of designing websites or texturing for video games.
